Director, Marketing and Communications, APAC
Job responsibilities include:
- Formulate and implement marketing strategies for the Asia Pacific region
- Identify and initiate marketing campaigns including world-class public relations initiatives and communications activities for the region
- Manage supporting staff and external agencies providing public relations, advertising, and marketing services
- Serve as spokesperson and identify others to serve as spokespersons for CFA Institute. Serve as liaison to member societies, Board of Governors, and senior management
- Identify issues, opportunities, and challenges and provide recommendations on the region’s public awareness and marketing strategies
- Conceptualize, write, edit, and translate publicity and other public information materials as needed
Position requires:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Master’s level preferred)
- Extensive and proven experience in developing and managing multi-faceted marketing, public relations, and other communications efforts in the finance industry and/or public associations, preferably with a multi-national, pan Asian, or global outreach
- Ability to develop short- and long-range strategic and tactical communication plans
- Must be client-focused with ability to build and sustain relationships across diverse cultures
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment within a global organization
- Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Experience in managing and/or working with outside PR, advertising, and marketing agencies preferred
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of Mandarin a great advantage, and of other Asian languages a plus
- Occasional travel required
