What You Should Expect

 

After You Pass Both Exams

 

Ensure your primary e-mail address is current. Two weeks after passing the Expert exam you will receive an e-mail inviting you to participate in the professional experience review by submitting work experience details.*  

 

We evaluate the experience statement of each candidate who passes the Expert exam, determine whether the candidate qualifies for regular membership in the CIPM Association, and notify the candidate of the decision. Those who meet all requirements will automatically become regular members of the CIPM Association. If it is determined that your experience does not qualify you may appeal the decision and/or submit additional information. 

 

Once your membership has been approved, your certificate will be mailed to your primary address.

 

*CFA charterholders, regular members of CFA Institute, and members of the Associates of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP) are exempt from the CIPM experience requirement.
