George Cooper is a fund manager and author. Previously, he worked for Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and JP Morgan before establishing the fixed-income investment business Alignment Investors with BlueCrest Capital Management. Dr. Cooper is author of the book The Origin of Financial Crises: Central Banks, Credit Bubbles and the Efficient Market Fallacy, which is a critique of both efficient market theory and recent monetary policy, explaining why the financial system is inherently unstable and why the recent crisis has been so severe.
