Global Ethics Day

What Is Global Ethics Day?

Heading into its seventh year, Global Ethics Day is a global teach-in designed as an opportunity for institutions to explore the role of ethics in a globalized world. The event is inspired by Earth Day and led by Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.

This year Global Ethics Day will take place on 21 October 2020.

This is the third year that CFA Institute will collaborate with Carnegie Council and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) to mark the occasion with several events planned throughout the month of October and beyond.

Why Is CFA Institute Getting Involved?

Ethics is at the core of our mission to lead the investment profession. We take every opportunity to be involved in conversations that advance ethics in all aspects of business. We believe that through collaboration with other organizations like Carnegie Council and ACCA we can amplify the message that ethics and integrity are drivers of both business success and sustainable growth and development.

How You Can Get Involved

In celebration of Global Ethics Day, join us on (DATE TBD) to learn about Giving Voice to Values (GVV), a road map for how to effectively act on your ethical principles in the context of your professional responsibilities.

Ethics in Business: In Their Own Words

As part of last year’s celebrations, we teamed up with Carnegie Council and ACCA to develop Ethics in Business: In Their Own Words. In this series, global business leaders explore how companies are preparing for an ethical future in the face of threats and challenges presented by globalization, technology, and human psychology.
