Certificate in ESG Investing Exam Admission and Appointment Policy
You must schedule your exam within 5 months of registering and sit for your exam within 6 months of registering. You are responsible for scheduling your exam appointment. Appointments are first-come, first-served. If there is no availability for your preferred delivery mode, you must schedule whichever mode is available, and for candidates testing in person, appointment availability will vary by test center. If you fail to schedule your appointment or fail to sit for the exam, your exam fees are non-refundable, non-deferrable, and non-transferable.
If you need to reschedule your exam appointment within your exam window, you will be charged a nonrefundable USD 30 fee and any applicable taxes. You will not be able to reschedule within 72 hours of your exam appointment.
In-Person Testing
If you arrive late for your exam appointment you may be refused admission. If you are refused admission, your exam fees are non-refundable, and non-transferable. We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
Test center personnel will perform security inspections during the check-in process and prior to re-entry into the testing room after a break. This includes inspection of personal belongings, clothing and eyeglasses, as well as the use of a metal detector wand to ensure you are not carrying electronic devices into the testing room. Test centers are also monitored by CCTV. Be aware that the check-in and security process may be completed ahead of or behind schedule, which could result in the tutorial and exam starting earlier or later than the scheduled time. Candidates must carefully follow the on-screen prompts and ensure they are aware of when the tutorial ends and when the actual exam
begins to avoid accidentally terminating the exam.
To find an exam location near you, visit our Test Center Locations page. Please note: all test centers are subject to change based on availability and demand. Test center options with confirmed available seating will be presented to you during the scheduling process.
Online Proctored Testing
For candidates who wish to take the exam using Online Proctored Testing (OPT), review the requirements and FAQs before scheduling your exam.
You will be able to launch your exam 60 minutes before your exam start time, and you will not be able to start the launch process 60 minutes after your scheduled exam start time. If you log in late for your exam appointment you may be refused admission. If you are refused admission, your exam fees are non-refundable, and non-transferable.
If you are responsible for a terminated exam either due to a technical issue or failure to follow testing personnel instructions, your exam fees are non-refundable, and non-transferable.
If you are wondering what the exam experience is like for both testing options, consider taking an exam simulation, known as the test drive experience.
