CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces that of 14,858 candidates worldwide who sat for the Level III CFA® Program exam in February 2023, 48 percent have passed, thereby completing their final CFA Program exam. The successful candidates are now eligible to become CFA charterholders, pending verification of professional experience. All candidates will be notified of their results today.
Margaret Franklin, CFA, President and CEO, CFA Institute, comments:
“I’m delighted to offer my congratulations to everyone enjoying the good news today of their success in the February Level III CFA exam. I hope you will celebrate your achievement and that we will have the opportunity to welcome you to our global CFA charterholder network soon. While your CFA study materials will now be getting filed away, I would encourage you to stay connected and explore the many professional and networking opportunities available to you through your global membership in CFA Institute and with a local CFA society.”
To become a charterholder, a candidate must pass all three examination levels, be a regular member of CFA Institute, and meet the work experience requirement. Currently more than 190,000 investment professionals around the world hold the CFA charter.
Chris Wiese, CFA, Managing Director, Education at CFA Institute, comments:
“I’m pleased to add my congratulations to everyone receiving good news of their exam success today. I applaud our candidates’ tenacity and determination in these unusual times. We are pleased to note that we had zero pandemic-related exam location cancellations during the February testing period and to see that the Level III pass rate is once again closer to historical norms.”
