28 March, 2023
New York City United States

CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces that of 16,959 candidates worldwide who sat for the Level I CFA® Program exam in February 2023, 38 percent have passed. All candidates will be notified of their results today.

Chris Wiese, CFA, Managing Director, Credentialing at CFA Institute, comments:

“My congratulations to everyone who has passed their Level I CFA Exam. You’ve made a great start on your path to the CFA charter, and I hope you feel encouraged to keep up the momentum.”

“During the February examination window, we had zero pandemic-related exam location cancellations. This marks the first time since we moved to computer-based testing in 2021 that pandemic-related disruptions have not impacted local exams.”

Successful Level I candidates wishing to progress directly to CFA Level II studies may register for the August 2023 examination window. Candidates wishing to register for the November 2023 Level II examination window can access an early bird registration rate until 10 May 2023.

Candidates for the February Level I CFA Program exams attended in person at one of 459 proctored computer-based examination venues located in 354 cities in 103 markets worldwide. Exam Levels I and III were held during the February testing period. Level III results will be released to candidates on 13 April.
