CFA Institute Reports Results for CFA Program Level I Testing in August

4 October, 2022
New York City United States

CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces that of 19,103 candidates worldwide who sat for the Level I CFA® Program exam in August, 37% percent have passed. All candidates will be notified of their results today.

Chris Wiese, CFA, Managing Director, Credentialing at CFA Institute, comments:

“Well done to everyone receiving news today of their exam success. This first step in their CFA journey shows a determination to bring the highest standards of ethics and foundational learning to their professional lives. My warm congratulations.

“We’re pleased to see the pandemic’s impact on cancellations wane. Only six cities experienced pandemic-related cancellations during the August testing window. However, we did see a high number of candidates exercise their option to defer their reservation for a variety of reasons, which we anticipate will continue to impact the pass rate in relation to historical norms. We continue to encourage all candidates to maintain the course and vigorously prepare for the testing window they initially choose.”

Candidates for the August Level I CFA Program exams attended in person at one of 545 proctored computer-based examination venues located in 359 cities in 101 markets worldwide. Exam Levels I, II, and III were held during the August testing period. Level II results will be released to candidates on 11 October. Level III results will be released on 1 November. Historical pass rates can be found at the following link: Exam Results and Pass Rates
