CFA Institute Reports Results for CFA Program Level II Testing in August

11 October, 2022
New York City United States

CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces that of 15,608 candidates worldwide who sat for the Level II CFA® Program exam in August, 40% percent have passed. All candidates will be notified of their results today.

Chris Wiese, CFA, Managing Director, Credentialing at CFA Institute, comments:

“Congratulations to everyone receiving news today of their exam success. You are firmly on your way to completing your journey through the CFA Program and joining an active community of CFA charterholders in markets around the world. Well done!

“For this exam administration we were able to test in a number of cities that had previously experienced pandemic-related closures. As with earlier sittings, we noted that candidates whose studies had been disrupted tended to struggle a bit more on the exam. Nevertheless, the overall trend in pass rates among other groups of candidates suggests a continuing general upward trend.”

Candidates for the August Level II CFA Program exams attended in person at one of 465 proctored computer-based examination venues located in 335 cities in 99 markets worldwide.

Pandemic-related disruption resulted in exam cancellations in five cities only. Exam Levels I, II, and III were held during the August testing period. Level I results were released on 4 October. Level III results will be released on 1 November. Historical pass rates can be found at the following link: Exam Results and Pass Rates.

Registration in the CFA Program provides access to extensive online learning materials including a Learning Ecosystem, an adaptive online learning tool that provides candidates with all necessary study materials, study planning tools, and mock examinations which are designed to focus candidates on their needs, strengths and weaknesses in preparation for their exams.
