CFA Institute Reports Results for CFA® Program Level II Testing in November 2024
New York, 16 January 2025 – CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces that of 13,589 candidates worldwide who sat for the Level II CFA® Program exam in November 2024, 39 percent have passed. All candidates will be notified of their results today.
Chris Wiese, CFA, Managing Director for Education at CFA Institute, said:
"Congratulations to candidates receiving news of their Level II exam success. Your hard work is paying off as you continue to build the strong foundations that will serve you in your career. I encourage you to keep striving forward in your CFA Program studies. We are here to support you every step of the way to your CFA charter."
“Again, we note pass rate differences between first-time testers and those who took their exam following an earlier deferral. First-time Level II testers achieved a passing rate of 49 percent, which is above the 10-year average. Previously deferred candidates came in at a 26 percent pass rate, which continues to impact the overall pass rate. We encourage candidates to make full use of all learning materials and to keep to study and exam schedules wherever possible. The Learning Ecosystem provides all essential study tools and offers a personalized study scheduler and mock exams.”
Candidates for the November Level II CFA Program exams attended in person at one of 477 proctored computer-based examination venues located in 378 cities in 106 markets worldwide. Exam Levels I and II were held during the November testing period. Historical pass rates can be found at the following link: Exam Results and Pass Rates.
