Student Scholarship
To apply, you must be a student enrolled at a school or college participating in the University Affiliation Program.
This scholarship is available to students around the world who are enrolled at an affiliated university and have not yet registered for their next exam.

Award amount
CFA® Program enrollment fee is waived and exam registration is reduced to USD600.

The Student Scholarship Program accepts applications from 1 September through 31 July.

Eligibility requirements
For students currently attending an affiliated university and have not yet registered for their next exam.
Applicants are not required to be enrolled in an affiliated degree program to be eligible to apply.
Eligible exam windows for Student Scholarship recipients
Student scholarships are valid for six months from the date you were notified by CFA® Institute of your award. Please refer to your decision email for this date.
You are eligible to register for an open exam window depending on your level. Registration and scheduling deadlines apply. If registration has already closed for a window, you will not be permitted to register.

Applications will be reviewed and awarded by your university throughout the program year and are not based on a specific exam cycle. All decisions are final.
You should allow 7-10 business days from the time you receive the scholarship award notification for your discounted registration fee to be available.
If you are not awarded a scholarship, you will be permitted to register at the early registration price for the current exam cycle. Please await the official decision notification from our Scholarships team for instructions on registering at the lower fee. If you register before receiving this notification you will not receive a refund for paying the higher registration fee. This option is only valid if the registration window is still open for the applicable window.
Student scholarships awarded after 1 September 2024 are valid for 6 months. Please refer to your award decision email for more details.
If you fail to utilize your scholarship by not registering, not scheduling or not appearing for the exam, you will not be eligible to receive future scholarships.
Candidates registering with a scholarship are not permitted to purchase a paid deferral but may request an emergency deferral if they meet the specified criteria.
